One Room Challenge Week 7: The Devil's in the Details | Styling our Kitchen with New Home Decor

Hi, my honeys! Welcome to week 7 of the One Room Challenge, and I swear, this week is truly where the magic happens! In today's post, I'll share with you all the little details I'm adding to our kitchen to style the space ahead of next week's BIG REVEAL! It truly is hard to believe that we are just one week away from finishing this space! I've learned so much along the way, and I truly love the way the kitchen has turned out!

Now, let's talk about the details of this space! Styling your kitchen is just as important as the renovation work! You want all your hard work to really pop with great decor. To style the floating shelves, I wanted to keep the decor minimal with some contrasting pops of black and functional pieces I know I will actually use. I also wanted to set up a little coffee bar station to make our coffee and tea and have toast in the morning! Check out all the details of my floating shelf area below:

The next area I'd love to share the details for is our by our sink! Our sink is from MR Direct, and it's a mix of quartz and granite, super durable, and GORGEOUS! I accessorized it with a stunning bronze drain flange, and our new sink faucet from Hansgrohe adds the perfect touch to the area. My little soap and sponge wood dish was found at an antiques mall in Indiana, and it's so cute! I also love our ceramic and brass soap dispenser, and Calico made me the most gorgeous custom flat roman shade for the window! The fabric I chose was called Janvier Dove and it's the most subtle gray toned stripe fabric! It will mostly be kept up all the time, but it does function perfectly with the provided string. Here are all the sink area details:

The rest of the styling of the kitchen, I wanted to be super functional but also beautiful. Adding a lamp for extra lighting, a marble lazy Susan on the counter for easy reach of items, and some gorgeous new pepper/salt mills, and a combo oil and vinegar bottle are just some of the details that function well in our kitchen but also look lovely on the counters. I added a plant for some extra texture and some color, and our hardware is one of my favorite things about our kitchen! I opted for the most beautiful polished bronze hardware that has a hint of copper in it which gives off a warmer, rosier vibe than the more yellowish standard polished brass finish. I chose a variety of drawer pull styles to make my kitchen feel more custom. Additionally, my plumber installed a pot filler above our range in matte black to match with our faucet. The stars of the show are really my Fulton pendants from Crystorama and my counter stools from Parker and Gwen--gifted by the brands and truly the statement pieces in our space! Here are the rest of the kitchen details:

Not to be excluded is my staircase area, which I made over as part of the One Room Challenge due to its proximity to the new kitchen. Since the two spaces are all open concept to each other, I wanted to upgrade my stairs and hallway wall art. Adding a new Loloi runner, a brand new matte black metal stair railing, and some gorgeous art provided by Minted really ties the space in well with the kitchen! Here are the details for the staircase area:

I hope this was helpful for y'all because I know there will be lots of questions about where I got many of the items from, and I wanted a place for you to come and get all the details at. I am so beyond excited to reveal the final space to y'all next week, and I just want to say it has been an absolute pleasure taking you along in this journey and working with some amazing brands along the way--please support them! Don't forget to come back next week for all the reveal content! It's gonna be so epic!
