It's My Hair Favs, Honey!

Writer's picture: peonyandhoneypeonyandhoney

Hi, my honeys! Girl, when I tell you I've been on a hair JOURNEY, I mean it! Just ask my fab hairstylist @keriungerhair at @charlesscottbeauty - I've been every color under the sun from pink to blue to green to blonde to now dark brown! I've had every length of hair as well including a super cute short bob a few years back. But now, I'm keeping it nice and simple and focusing on my hair health (for once lol!) It's finally super shiny, strong, and healthy!

I can't say enough about using less hot styling tools on your hair and washing your hair less so your hair gets nourishment from your own natural hair oils and a break from your blowdryer and irons! That's literally the best advice I can give you for your hair. Now, we all have different hair types - mine is actually quite fine, but I have a ton of it. I do struggle with limp, flat hair so I've rounded up my favorite products for you to check out! Keep coming back to this blog as I'll be adding more products as I try new ones out for y'all! I do also want to mention that if you're trying to grow out your hair, but it's not budging...try taking a hair, skin, and nails vitamin--anything with Biotin in it will help with your hair growth!

Loreal Paris EverFresh Hair Scrub:

Here's a budget friendly way to stave off oily hair. Using this will exfoliate your scalp and keep your hair cleaner longer!

DPHUE Apple Cider Vinegar Scalp Scrub:

Here's a super effective hair scrub formulated specifically for oily hair. If you struggle with oily hair after only a couple days after washing, try this!

Sebastian Penitraitt Shampoo:

This shampoo is excellent for color-treated and damaged hair! I love the scent as well - it's nice and fresh!

CelebLuxury Bonditioner:

This is my favorite conditioner of all time! It's very moisturizing without leaving the hair heavy, and IT SMELLS LIKE HEAVEN! I can't even explain to you how much I love this herbal scent - just try it!

Aquage SeaExtend Silkening Oil Treatment:

I apply the tiniest amount to the ends of my hair while it's wet. It smoothes split ends and frizzy strands like a charm and smells like vanilla!

Aquage Finishing Spray:

I love this hairspray because it holds without the crunch! It also brushes out nicely and doesn't leave a major residue in the hair!

Porcelain Ceramic 1.25'' Spring Curling Iron:

Grab yourself a nice, tight curling 1.25" or 1.5" like this one for beachy waves! To achieve this look curl away from your face and leave the ends out!

Hot Tools NanoCeramic Curling Iron:

Here's another great option for curling iron! It has great reviews and gets nice and hot!

CHI Ceramic 1'' Hairstyling Iron:

I've been using a CHI flatiron for years, and I love the way it straightens on the first passover. Having to go over spots only once means less damage to your hair!

CHI Touch 2 Touch Screen Hair Dryer:

This dryer is everything! Yes, a touch screen dryer is very fancy! It dries your hair super quickly with less damage and is cheaper than the Dyson!

CHI for Ulta Beauty Pink Pro Dryer:

This is the exact dryer I have! It's efficient, lightweight, and dries my hair very quickly all for a good price!

OLIVIA GARDEN Nanothermic Round Brush:

This brush is great for adding volume and getting that salon blowout look!

OLIVIA GARDEN NanoThermic Ceramic + Ion Large Paddle Brush:

This is my go-to brush for blowdrying my hair in the Winter months because it helps control the static!

OLIVIA GARDEN Ceramic + Ion Anti-Static Cushioned Rectangular Paddle Brush:

Here's my favorite paddle brush for adding shine to your hair while blowdrying!

WET BRUSH Detangling Comb:

Comb your hair with this while wet before you use a brush to blow-dry! It's a great detangled and will help you avoid ripping out your hair while blowdrying.

DRYBAR Detox Dry Shampoo:

This is an excellent dry shampoo! Apply a little at the roots when your hair starts to get oily and flat after a few days of not washing.

KOPARI Coconut Melt:

I use this the week after I've color treated my hair to add moisture back in! It's also great to use once or twice a month during the Winter season!

Kerastase Volumizing Mousse

I absolutely love the lift this mousse provides at the root of my hair when I apply it to my wet hair after showering! You get all the volume without the crunch other mousses have. It smells heavenly too!
