It's a Low-Carb Strawberry Sauce, Honey!

Hi, my honeys! Your girl has been following a low-carb, Ketogenic diet for the past couple months for health reasons, and I'm always looking for ways to feel like I'm cheating on my diet but actually not. I know myself and that I have no willpower whatsoever, so I need to find ways to feel like I'm eating something bad for me in order to stay on track. Yes, that's how I live my life, HAHA! One thing I didn't realize is that strawberries and berries in general are actually some of the more low-carb fruits. That's a good thing for me because I'm entirely obsessed with them.

I set out to make a strawberry jam-like sauce to go on all of my Keto treats like my low-carb cheesecake, low-carb donuts, sugar-free mousse and pudding, and Keto ice cream, too. It's basically the sauce I put on every dessert I make and also I'll just eat it by itself, too. It's that good! I don't know about you, but if it were me I would not have read this entire paragraph; I would have just scrolled down to the recipe, but if you're still here -- AWESOME -- and now I'll get to the recipe:

LOW - CARB STRAWBERRY SAUCE

Ingredients:

• 1 Frozen Bag of Halved Strawberries

• 2 TBSP Granulated Swerve Sweetener

• Dash of Vanilla Extract

Instructions:

1. Place strawberries in sauce pan on medium heat covered until thawed.

2. Then add your Swerve and vanilla.

3. Stir and mash the strawberries a bit with your spoon.

4. Let simmer until juices in pan start to thicken.

5. Carefully add your strawberry mix to your Vitamix or blender, and blend.

6. Pour the sauce into a squeeze bottle for ease of use.

7. Immediately refrigerate to thicken it, and allow a few hours for it to cool.

8. Put it on low carb donuts, low carb cheesecake, sugar-free mousse, keto ice cream...etc!
