Hi, my honeys! I wanted to give you some good clothing options for spring, so I decided to compile a list of 10 staple pieces perfect for the new season! Many of them can be worn with each other to create a multitude of outfit options! It's important to note that when you're looking to update your wardrobe, look for key pieces you absolutely love and use them to build outfits. That may mean a bit of an investment on quality pieces, but it will be worth it if you can make those pieces work with a ton of outfits and it lasts you more than a season or two! 1) Mom Jeans
Why I love them: These jeans are edgy with all the tears in them, but they have a high waist which sucks you in nicely! Pair them with a tee shirt and tank for a more casual look, or add a fun top and a blazer for a night out! Order a size up from what you normally wear to be sure you don't make the holes bigger with jeans that are too tight! I'm 5'4, 125 lbs, and I wear a size 4 in these jeans comfortably!
2) Cargo Joggers
Why I love them: I have been jealous of my hubby's cargo joggers for quite some time now, but finally a women's cargo jogger has come out! I have actually been on the hunt for these, and the reviews sound like these are super flattering! I picture these with a jean jacket, tank, and some slip on mules! This is an easy style for running errands or heading to brunch!
3) Flowy Tee
Why I love it: This is a popular share among my fellow Instagram bloggers and for good reason. It suits everyone! If you're pregnant with a child or a food baby, recently gave birth, or you're super thin and have all the abs and whatnot but you want something cutesy, this tee is for you. It floats away from the waist and looks effortlessly cute and casual.
4) Cropped Denim Jacket
Why I love it: Is it really Spring if you don't bust out a denim jacket! I love all the girls in denim jackets memes online, but I mean I also love a good denim jacket! I always look for one with a twist or some detail that makes it special, whether that's an ombre color or in this case a cropped version! The cropped jacket is a good proportion for a lot of body types! I love the medium, faded wash on this, too!
5) Straw Mules
Why I love them: These are some of the most comfortable pairs of shoes I own! I am not one for messing around with laces and trying to squeeze my foot into the back of a shoe. When the whether is nice and you just wanna get outside, ya throw on these cute mules and head out the door in a hurry! Also, the straw look really screams Spring and Summer vibes!
6) Wooden Earrings
Why I love them: What a fun way to jump on the rattan and natural materials trend with a pair of cute wooden earrings! It adds interest to an otherwise neutral outfit, and I like the gold on the stud portion of these earrings as well to add a little mix of mediums! I feel like you can get away with wearing them on dressier and more casual occasions!
7) Wooden Handbag
Why I love it: If you're looking for a fun handbag for the warmer months, I love the idea of a wooden or rattan bag! There are a ton of woven straw bags and wood ones out there, but this one is super affordable! Just make sure to throw a cloth bath in there to disguise your items!
8) Button-up Tank
Why I love it: Another great staple piece is a tank top, but you want to look for one with some detail to spice things up a bit! I love the squared off neckline on this tank as well as the henley button feature! These details really turn this tank into something more special than just your basic tank top!
9) Oversized Cardigan
Why I love it: If you live in the Midwest like I do, you know that the nights will still get cool in the Spring and sometimes parts of the summer! It's always good for us to have a cozy cardigan on hand! I love this one for its waffle knit texture, large buttons, and it's oversized shape! This is your throw on over everything type of cardigan, and I think everyone needs one!
10) Leopard Midi Skirt
Why I love it: I love love love midi length skirts, and I think something flowy and in a bold print works great for the season. Leopard print oddly acts as a neutral, and you can pair it with almost any color! You can dress it down with a basic tee as shown in the photo, or you can rock it with a blouse and blazer for work or for a night out. It's just an easy Spring piece for all body types! This is higher waisted to give you that nice hourglass shape and conceal any unwanted tummy pooches; plus, the slits up the front add just enough sass!
